It’s that time of year again – time to hit the lake! I may not have internet/phone access for a bit into next week, but don’t fear! I will be gettin’ back to work as soon as I can

My husband… my dog… and photography.
Nothing makes me happier then when I can have all three of those together.
Last weekend we were able to take advantage of the extra day off to head out to the beach and enjoy an evening together…. What would an evening out be, without some photos!?
And it’s a WIN!
April 26, 2010Imagine my surprise when I logged on facebook this morning to see MY photo beside an update that said “Black and White Contest Winners in the latest Digital Photo Buzz contest! Congratulations!” WHAATTT?!?!??!?!?!
It’s true – I won 2nd place in their B&W Landscape contest – woohoo!
I saw the contest come up on their Facebook page last week and thought, “Why not?!”
Then I racked my brain thinking “What landscape do I enter?!?!”
I started going through my files and saw ‘the’ one….
It was taken at the dog park on one of my photo adventures with Paisley.
I had said last year when I took a photo of the same tree “I just love this tree – it’s my favourite” :p
Now it’s REALLY REALLY REALLY my favourite

What’s Goin’ On?
April 7, 2010Hey Everyone!
I just wanted to let you in on what’s goin’ on around here these days.
It’s been a bit of a rough week for me – last week I went in for day-surgery.
Surgery went well but ever since I’ve been DIZZY.
Like – want to lie down on the floor and hold on dizzy. It’s actually driving me crazy.
So between that, and recovering from the surgery it’s been pretty tough.
I was back into the ER last night to try and get to the root of the problem – with not much luck.
So, on that note – I’ve been told to “SLLLOOWWW DOOWWWNNNNNN”
and to take a bit of a break from working so hard
I’m trying – really.
If things aren’t updating as fast as they usually are, photos aren’t being edited as quickly, etc. you know why.
I’m trying to do my best – and with wedding season quickly approaching I need to be 150%.

March 29, 2010I want to thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart.
You made something that was a random idea of mine, a complete success.
The rain, wind, and hail, didn’t deter you from coming out to support Trooper and the BC SPCA.
Thank you so much. I can’t even say thank you enough times to try and get you to understand how much I really mean it.
In grade four I was chosen for public speaking (not my strong point as you could tell from the TV coverage! haha)
What did I do my speech on? The SPCA.
I was an animal lover from day 1.
I didn’t do just only a speech… I organized (with the help of my amazing Mom) a pet food drive.
Cat food, dog food, you name it.
As I reflect on that first fundraising effort I don’t even remember how much was raised.
But I remember how it made me feel… and I’m feeling that all over again right now.
So overrun with emotions, and so thankful that people like YOU helped pull this off.
I can’t say it enough… but Thank You.
There will be lots of photos to come, but first I wanted to post Trooper and his furry friends who came to support him yesterday.
