Yesterday was a big day…. I had two very special sessions for families that travelled quite the distance.  Little Ella & Family came from Squamish (their session will be up on the blog later) and Ava & family came alllll the way from SEATTLE! The weather was a little iffy to begin with, but it stopped raining just in the nick of time.  Here are a few quick teasers of their family session & Ava’s Birthday Cake Smash.  I wanted to give HUGE thanks to Erlinda at www.pictureyourcake.com for making the gorgeous cake. Absolutely unreal!

I’d like to send out a HUGE Congratulations to Taren & Leigh.  They weathered this nasty storm with huge smiles on their faces, and the giddyness of true love.  Despite the rain, and the little curve balls they were thrown throughout the day, these to absolutely ROCKED it today. They were calm, relaxed, and so much in love. Leigh can have the whole room laughing, and Taren will be keeping everybody in check. WINNING conbination if you ask me   Here’s a sneak peek of their big day…

So… this weekend I traveled to the other side of the world

Ok, not really, but it sure felt like it! I went from Richmond, to Tsawwassen (to drop the pooch and hubby off at the ferry terminal) out to Harrison Hot Springs, then on to Minter Gardens. Woah. That was a LOT of driving.. BUT ooooooooooooooooh was it ever worth it!  It was a SCORCHER out there but the wedding party were amazing and we got some beautiful shots <3

I have never… EVER met a kid more relaxed than Lachlan. His mommy Sarah kept telling me how laid back he was, how he was such a good sleeper, and I thought she was just saying that NO WAY, this is the most chill baby I have EVER had the pleasure of photographing! Usually newborn sessions are, well… a pain! Crying, peeing, pooping, more crying, waiting…. snapping a ton of shots once we get the post just right…. and there goes the first hour Lachlan’s 3+ hour session was absolutely amazing – I didn’t want to stop! He was like a little doll Although, in the full post I will make sure to tell you about him pooping on my hand Ahhhhh the hazards of the job! :p
