Saturday was a great day – sure it rained buckets, but that didn’t stop us all from celebrating the marriage of Tyler and Sheena. I was anticipating this wedding for many reasons – it is my last wedding of 2012, and the wedding of a very dear friend of mine! I have known the groom (and the boys in the bridal party for that matter) for the last 9+ years. We shared many a boat rides, house parties, and camping trips in that time. All of which made Saturday even more special to me.
I met up with Sheena and her beautiful girls to get ready, then it was off to the chapel! Minoru Chapel was the perfect place to share their nuptials From there it was off to city hall, and the Richmond Olympic Oval to grab some under cover areas to take our photos (YAY for Richmond having some pretty darn cool under cover spots – it really helps on those liquid sunshine days!) From there it was off to the Flying Beaver Bar and Grill for the wedding party to have a little break, grab a bevvie, and ramp up for the reception. I absolutely loved that Sheena had incorporated a fun hangout place of theirs into the big day – and some downtime for the wedding party! (i know the wedding party enjoyed it too!)
While there may have been some glitches along the way, I’d say the day was pretty darn near perfect. There aren’t two people better suited for each other, and I was so honoured to have played such a big role in their wedding day. As an added bonus, there are a few photobooth teasers at the end too 😉 Their guests sure knew how to party!!!!!
Congratulations Tyler and Sheena! We are so so so happy for you guys, and can’t wait to be a part of your happily ever after!
