D&E – Galiano Island Elopement Wedding | Galiano Inn Oceanfront Inn & Spa

It was a STORMY STORMY February weekend when D&E flew in to Vancouver for their intimate elopement/wedding.  They made the trek over to the gorgeous Galiano Inn  – Oceanfront Inn and Spa and they were instantly in paradise.  Despite the viscous winds, and torrential downpours, their enthusiasm was high –  they were SO excited to be tying the knot!  It was so nice to see them relaxed, laughing, and having a great time getting ready together – with no stresses of a large wedding.  The day was about them and their love for one another – not about dresses and hair and jewellery, flasks and  boutineers and uncomfortable shoes. 🙂  They had a beautiful ceremony right in their room, and once all of the formalities were done we headed out around the grounds to take some photos.  I couldn’t believe how resilient they were – the wind and rain were epic – and I mean that!  But none of it put a damper on their enjoyment of the moment!

I have to say a BIG thank you to the Galiano Inn  – Oceanfront Inn and Spa for taking such good care of D&E and myself!  They made the afternoon so pleasant for us – especially by turning on the beautiful fire place in the dining room so we could warm up and dry off 🙂  I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a gorgeous wedding/elopement venue – or even a small getaway! I also don’t charge an accommodation OR travel fee for Galiano Island weddings! (double score!)

A’s Baby Bump – Richmond / Steveston Maternity Photography

I had the pleasure to meet up with A&A this week to take some last minute maternity photos.  I am SO GLAD they decided to capture this special moment.  Lady A was GLOWING!  I can’t wait to hear about their little one’s arrival in a few short weeks.  I put my gender guesses in too – we’ll see if I’m right 😉  Pretty sure I have a long track record of being wrong – except for with my own! hehe

Maternity sessions are so great for capturing that special moment of carrying a child.  You’ll miss that baby bump! <3

Connor’s 1st Birthday Puppy PAW-ty

It’s amazing to me that a full year has gone by since our little man entered our lives.  UNREAL!  The 3 years waiting for him felt like 10…. once he arrived it felt like time went into warp speed.  12 months felt like 3.  I now can appreciate the comment that someone gave me while pregnant – “The days are long… but the years are short.”  So.so.so.so true.  I’ve seen first hand how fast babies change, and how important it is to capture those special moments!!!! Can you believe how much he has grown?!?!

Ever since my little guy was born I mayyyyyy have been planning his 1st birthday party.  Scratch that – it was probably BEFORE he was born 😉  I was torn on the Nautical Nursery or a puppy one.  I figured the puppy PAWTY lent itself to his 1st birthday better so we went with that.  Interesting fact: the name CONNOR actually means “lover of hounds”. Which suits him and our family so much. One of his first words was Pup-Pup after our dog Paisley!

Here are a few of the snapshots from his birthday!
